The Antidote to Invisible College
Lose Your Curiosity Here

Antidote To “Ha Ha Yr Soul”

Course description:

Invisible College’s occult tendencies are on clear display in their Ha Ha Yr Soul offering, which even goes so far as to suggest that poetry can be gay. At Opaque College, we reject this notion, as well as the suggestion that poets have a role in the destiny of the universe and, as we have stated elsewhere, that death is an inevitability of life on earth. Many of our students found Ariana’s course on Merrill to be transformative and deeply unsettling, and some developed homosexual tendencies despite having no such prior inclinations. They began to shape their lives around art and love in ways they found profoundly disruptive.

We are here to right the ship for these students lost in poetics. Together, we will read Atomic Habits and a lot of Malcolm Gladwell and learn that it is possible to grit your teeth and live a life safe from art and wonder.

“Since taking Opaque College’s antidote course, the world has returned to how it was before I ever heard of Ariana Reines and Invisible College. Much more muted and tolerable. Now I only think of poetry on nights I can’t get to sleep.”
