Antidote to “Dog Days”

Course Description:

Invisible College’s Dog Days activation poses potent questions about civilization, erotic and spiritual hunger, and the tension between wildness and social expectation. Students poured out the class with wild eyes. Several were subsequently fired from their jobs for openly praying to the Dogstar. The few that snapped out of it came to us and Opaque College’s reverse engineers got to work.

Instead of limiting our study to a wildness—domestication dichotomy, Opaque College’s antidote course complicates Reines’ analysis by introducing the framework of alpha and betas (Bisclavret was an alpha with a few beta tendencies). It is worth noting that Reines also omitted the topic of furries and pet play in her 3-hour dog intensive, but we will let that rest for now, as we are reasonable people and she may not have had enough time to get around to it.

In this course, we will dissect the Wolf of Wall Street and Jack London’s White Fang to better understand the alpha figure, as we feel strongly that all our students should move through this world as alphas.

“Woof woof woof woof woof! That’s what Ariana Reines wants us to say. Well, I have self-control now, thanks to Opaque College.”

-Bark Ruffalo
